COREY TAYLOR Undergoes Spinal Surgery; First Two Weeks Of SLIPKNOT + MARILYN MANSON Tour Postponed
June 3, 2016The first two weeks of SLIPKNOT's North American tour with MARILYN MANSON have been posted after SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor was forced to undergo "an unplanned spinal surgery." The trek, which also includes OF MICE & MEN, in the opening slot, will now begin on June 28 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Taylor's statement on the postponement reads as follows:
"Regretfully, I'm sending this to our fans to inform you that we will be postponing the first couple of weeks of our upcoming U.S tour. Unfortunately, I had to undergo an unplanned spinal surgery. I am recovering nicely, and all went well! I need a little recovery time before hitting the stage. We will start the summer tour in Nashville on June 28 and continue as previously scheduled. An update on the rescheduled dates will be available in the next few days. I hope you all understand and thanks for always having my back!"

SLIPKNOT is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, ".5: The Gray Chapter", which sold 132,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week of release to land at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart.
The CD was released in October 2014 following a six-year hiatus during which founding SLIPKNOT bassist Paul Gray died and original drummer Joey Jordison was dismissed.
